Mask Poem

When you write a poem where the subject of the poem is the speaker, it's called a "mask" poem. Try to think of an animal or an inanimate object and write a poem using their voice.

Directions

Line 1: I am a (Noun)
Line 2: (Color) as a/an (pull down of a or an) (Comparison)
Line 3: (describe something about the subject)
Line 4: (describe something about the subject)
Line 5: (describe something the subject does)
Line 6: (describe something the subject does)
Line 7: I am a (same noun as line 1)

Mask Poem Example :

Fireplace

I am a fireplace
Orange as a heart of the sun
Made to warm my friends
I am surrounded by cold hands reaching toward me
My insides move like a dancer
Fueled I burn orange hot
I am a fireplace
